The State Department Federal Credit Union is currently seeking a Member Service Center Representative II (MSC Rep. II), tasked with responding to inquiries over the telephone and carrying out all subsequent follow-up activities according to established procedures, aimed at fulfilling the needs of our members and other callers. These activities are expected to be consistently executed in a professional, accurate, and timely manner. The MSC Rep II also conducts loan interviews over the phone, inputs necessary information for loan decision-making, including disbursement location, and notifies members in case of loan denials. Furthermore, this position is responsible for effectively cross-selling the credit union's products and services in alignment with Core Values and lending guidelines.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

1. One year of MSR/Teller experience at SDFCU.

2. Excellent interpersonal/communication skills including a desire to interact with all types of members and/or prospects.

3. Ability to master PC keyboard and software skills.

4. Ability to multitask.

5. Basic knowledge of lending laws and regulations.

6. Solid understanding of credit and finance.

7. Excellent negotiation skills.

8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

9. Required to extend work shift and/or work during times that SDFCU is closed as needed
