MUST:
TS/SCI (SSBI less than 4.5 years old).
Experienced Countermeasures Power Engineer

Min. 2 years of work experience in power, electrical engineering, or physics. 4-year degree or equivalent experience.
Must possess intermediate skills using Microsoft Project, Visio, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook) business software.
Understanding of the Internet of Things (IOT), security systems and latest associated trends.
Must have a good understanding of single and triple phase power systems.
Require experience to read, interpret and create electrical and electromechanical schematics
Ability to demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Must have the ability to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects and have a strong attention to detail.
Ability to read, interpret and create electrical and electromechanical schematics, including electrical/mechanical building systems drawings.
Understanding of MATLAB, Python, C++ or other programming languages will be considered a plus.
BS degree or equivalent experience.

DUTIES:
Will support The Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS), which is the security and law enforcement arm of the U.S. Department of State (the Department). DS is a world leader in international investigations, threat analysis, cyber security, counterterrorism, security technology, and protection of people, property, and information. The Office of Security Technology (ST) supports the DS mission through the application and use of appropriate technical security countermeasures.
Specific Responsibilities: Responsible for the design, installation, operation, and lifecycle maintenance of advanced countermeasures systems primarily at overseas diplomatic facilities.
Team builds and configures countermeasures to ensure proper functionality and operation.
Ensures interoperability of highly technical equipment through the management of hardware and software configuration changes.
Provide technical support for all phases of countermeasures systems which includes pre-installation, installation, and post installation.
Coordinate all reporting which includes pre- and post-trip technical reports and summaries.
Assist in the evaluation and development of new countermeasure systems and test equipment, documenting capabilities, identifying potential limitations, and making appropriate recommendations.
Assist in the training of Department of State personnel on the techniques required to maintain, install and operate specific countermeasures.
Conduct independent research on emerging technologies with minimal oversight or guidance and is capable of conducting laboratory or field testing.
Assist in the drafting and review of technical security policies and operational guidelines involving countermeasures systems and facilitates their integration into the Department of State's facilities.
Assist in gathering information on new technologies or capabilities, and any previous associated research/whitepapers found on those technologies and participates and project design and review meetings.
Write detailed reports, assist with the generation of user manuals and other written documents as required.
Coordinate travel and site support.
Assist with equipment upgrades, repairs, and replacements.
Drafts surveys for new installations of countermeasures at existing facilities.
Give user training on multiple existing and upcoming systems.
Ability to read, interpret and create electrical and electromechanical schematics, including electrical/mechanical building systems drawings.
