We are looking for a Research & Development Technical Services Manager to provide overall leadership, planning, coordination, and reviewing for the code approvals process for new products, new components, and innovative programs. As a Trex R&D Technical Services Manager, you will be looked to as an innovator and expected to develop goals and objectives for programs, recommend and administer policies and procedures within Technical Services and R&D, and identify opportunities for improving service delivery methods and procedures. This role is a key member of our Research & Development team and works with USA and International code approvals and regulatory requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Put safety first - always.
  • Lead and foster our "people first" culture.
  • Oversee testing plans, activities, and review testing reports as part of the code approval process.
  • Work to identify and meet International Code requirements and oversees the maintenance of certifications.
  • Manage other regulatory code and product performance testing for Trex building products.
  • Develop goals and objectives for programs. Recommends and administers policies and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for improving Trex-wide services and delivery methods and procedures.
  • Oversee the regulatory compliance activities in First Article approvals and supplier qualification of new components or assemblies as we continue to expand our Strategic Sourcing activities.

EXPERIENCE

We are looking for leaders with a bachelor's degree in a science or engineering discipline and 8+ years of technical management or related engineering or scientist work experience. If you have at least five years of previous experience leading a regulatory department, we want to hear from you.
