We are currently seeking a Systems Engineer/Analyst, Senior to support our Navy customer in Fredericksburg, VA. This role will function as the Systems Engineer supporting development for a US Navy, major weapon system. The candidate will work in a collaborative environment with other analysts and provide support to other stakeholders.

Duties:

  • Works as part of a team of engineers to assess modifications and enhancements to Tactical Tomahawk Weapon Control System (TTWCS), working closely with engineers of multiple disciplines.
  • Lead the development of white papers which assess the proposed change, develop new or modify existing system requirements, consolidate inputs from multiple Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) (i.e., software, safety, cyber, fleet support) to develop white papers.
  • Review and make recommendations on system architectures to change. This may be a static diagram that they simply mark up or it may be using a MBSE tool like MagicDraw.
  • Participate in multiple telcons per week, and within a few months, will be expected to lead meetings (either a whitepaper status meeting or a Technical Exchange Meeting (TEM)).
  • Base access required for classified discussions/communications.

Required Education:

  • A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.

Required Experience:

  • 10 years in an SE environment supporting C2, fire control systems, or DoD weapons systems
  • Additionally, 6 years lifecycle systems development and analysis - CONOPS, requirements, integration documentation, certification work, etc.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
