Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Growth Officer to join our leadership team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in driving business growth, with extensive experience in government contracting and a deep understanding of the software industry.

What you will do:

  • Develop and implement growth strategies to enhance market position and achieve financial growth.
  • Lead the Business Development, Proposal and Marketing teams, providing mentorship and fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Engage with key Government and commercial customers, building strong relationships and understanding their unique needs.
  • Oversee and contribute to the development of proposals for government contracting and commercial opportunities.
  • Drive sales and margin growth, employing sophisticated knowledge of software economics and scalability.
  • Lead and execute M&A activities, including providing input on target companies, due diligence, and integration.
  • Monitor industry trends and maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape.
Qualifications

Must-haves:

  • Active Top Secret/SCI level security clearance.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including government experience followed by business development roles in large and mid-sized tech companies specifically with a Software / SaaS focus
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire teams and create true partnerships between Business Development and other departments in the organization.
  • Strong understanding of software/cloud/telecommunications/cyber technology and its economic aspects in a sales context.
  • Proven track record in sales growth and successful business development initiatives.
  • Experience in M&A, including due diligence and team integration.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience with and knowledge of one or more of the following: SOCOM, CYBERCOM, or other Department of Defense and Intelligence Community entities.
  • Successful exit experience from a mid-size tech company.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office
  • Constantly work with computers and other information technology equipment
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas in a classroom style format, may stand at a podium for long periods of time
