You have completed a BS in Nuclear Engineering or a related engineering degree. You may have also obtained an advanced degree in similar fields. You have worked in an engineering role for at least 10 years and are ready to join Framatome and help deliver clean, safe energy and advance nuclear technology.

You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As an Experienced Core Design Engineer in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the PWR Codes & Methods Development Business Line in the Fuel Business Unit. Your work will include creating optimized PWR core designs for R&D development studies or first-of-a-kind applications and performing subsequent nuclear physics calculations to support downstream analyses, creating cross sections of various fuel assembly lattice designs, designing new and shuffling old fuel assemblies in a pattern that leads to optimal energy requirements while maintaining safety parameters, calculating neutronics parameters and providing inputs for downstream analyses, analyzing and documenting results, working with code developers to create new or revise existing codes and automation tools associated with core design, and working with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure successful customer delivery. This position requires occasional travel. Together we will enable clean, safe, and economical low-carbon energy to meet the global ambition for a better tomorrow.

Your Total Rewards Package

The range of base salary for the position is between $127,000 - $173,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
