This position supports training for Carilion Clinic's life support resuscitation education for various clinical roles within the organization.
Opportunity for motivated individual with a clinical and training background. Prefer previous training experience, in a clinical setting. Strong interpersonal, communication, consulting and writing skills are required.
Job duties include but are not limited to,
* Facilitates resuscitation education provided by the American Heart Association (AHA)
* Develops resuscitation education with the support of AHA education tools and resources.
* Fosters an environment of continuous improvement, best practices, lessons learned, and quality outcomes.
* Assesses training needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and/or consultation with managers, consultants, or others.
* Utilizes Level 1, 2, 3, and 4 evaluation strategies to measure reaction, cognitive learning, on-the-job learning in identified programs, and data-derived results.
* Uses evaluation data on an ongoing basis to revise and continuously improve training strategies.
* Consults with employees and leaders to create proactive and responsive solutions to individual, team, and departmental development needs.
Education: Bachelor's degree required.
Experience: Three (3) years of general HR/related experience required. Experience within specialized area strongly preferred. Completion of a Master's degree in a related field with demonstrated relevant experience may substitute for experience requirement. Prefer 1-3years of previous training experience; candidate must demonstrate strong training skills and be comfortable facilitating to varied audiences. Preferred experience in a clinical role (RN, LPN, Respiratory, etc.)
Licensure/Certification: Must obtain two of the three AHA instructor certifications within 6 months of hire..
Other Minimum Qualifications: Must possess excellent customer service and written/verbal communication skills, including presentation skills. Demonstrated analytical thinking and interpersonal skills. Must work well in a team environment and have a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. Lawson knowledge preferred. Demonstrated resourcefulness and ability to work on multiple tasks/projects while meeting deadlines and being flexible in an environment of changing priorities.
