Experienced Journeyman Software Developer 2+ years' experience Experience with network routing, and application load balancers Experience with authentication methods such as TLS, JWT, SAML, SSO, and OpenID Must have a Bachelors degree, experience will be considered in lieu of a degree; Associates degree plus 4 years' experience, or a minimum of 6 years of experience, in a related field
Experience in Amazon Web Services Platforms and Technologies (AWS) is preferred
Willing to train for Kong API management gateway is preferred
Demonstrated experience building configurations in YAML, specifically for Kong Enterprise is a plus
Demonstrated experience in Lua is desired
Demonstrated experience in Java and/or Python is a plus
Experience with Container and Orchestration technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) is preferred
Experience in CI/CD Process (GitLab) is a plus
Experience in working on Linux systems (RHEL) is desired
ElasticSearch experience is a plus
AWS Serverless, SQS/SNS, Lambda, ECS, EC2, S3 is preferred
NGA Imagery and Data Repositories is a plus
Experience with Terraform is preferred
DUTIES: Contribute in all phases of the development life cycle. Write well designed, testable, efficient code. Ensure designs follow specifications. Recommend changes to improve established application processes. Prepare and produce releases of software components. Develop application code programs. Develop and execute test plans, support formal testing and resolution of defects. Provide technical support and consultation for application and infrastructure defects and questions.
