We are looking for a Director, Talent and Organizational Development to develop a talent roadmap in support of the company's long-term strategy. This is a Leadership role within the HR function responsible for organizational design and talent development across the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Organizational Development - Lead a process that partners with other senior leaders to develop an understanding of the human capital needed to achieve long-term strategic objectives.

  • Create a talent development roadmap that aligns our current talent inventory with the future needs of the business.
  • Partner in the creation of a talent addition timeline.
  • Establish a role profile template and lead an effort to ensure all roles are clearly defined and documented.

Employee Training & Development - Own, develop, and improve employee development programs. Implement growth plans and programs that reward high performers and motivates the workforce to grow within the company.

  • Manage a team of internal development consultants who work with managers to create individual development plans (IDP) for all salaried team members.
  • Manage organization-wide training budget and demonstrate ROI for the company.
  • Oversee annual 9-box and succession planning processes.
  • Manage corporate training and execution of new corporate employee onboarding process.
  • Oversee the performance management system and link results to employee development initiatives.
  • Oversee the instructional design team and internal training content quality control.
  • Provide leadership in designing and delivering ad hoc internal trainings that align with business needs.
  • Oversee the learning management system and leverage data to identify efficiencies and gaps in knowledge.
  • Cultivate external training and development partnership resources including external training, coaches, mentorship resources, etc.
  • Implement and communicate career roadmaps that provide transparency for career development.
  • Partner with HR and training managers at plant locations to support the training goals of operations and ensure consistency and quality across the organization.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support overall organizational and employee development initiatives.

**This is an on-site position located at our corporate headquarters. Candidates must live within a commutable distance to Winchester, VA or be willing to relocate for the role.

EXPERIENCE

  • A bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field is required. An advance degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience and 10 or more years of progressive HR experience.
  • Education and/or experience in organizational development strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience in a high-growth environment strongly preferred.
  • Certification through SHRM and/or HRCI preferred.
