The Opportunity: We are seeking a committed and experienced Assistant Facilities Manager. In this role, you will be instrumental in assisting the Facilities Manager by providing administrative support with vendors and budgeting as well as working directly with the team. Proficiency in overseeing maintenance tasks, managing projects, budgeting, and housekeeping is preferred.

Duties and Functions:

• Required to perform all maintenance tasks such as mechanical, electrical, plumbing, painting, framing, etc.
• Aid in the development and execution of a thorough maintenance schedule to uphold top-tier standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
• Assist in the coordination and supervision of maintenance and repair projects to ensure timely completion within budgetary constraints.
• Take the lead in collaborating with vendors and contractors to solicit competitive bids and ensure the delivery of quality services.
• Assist in managing the facilities budget, including expense tracking and optimizing cost-effective solutions.
• Aid in the implementation and enforcement of safety protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being of members, guests, and staff.
• Support in maintaining comprehensive records of maintenance activities, budgets, and equipment inventory.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies to continuously improve facility operations.

Qualifications Standards:

• Proven experience in a similar role in a hospitality or recreational setting.
• Excellent project management skills, including budgeting and scheduling.
• Knowledge of building systems, maintenance techniques, and safety regulations preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in computer software for record-keeping and reporting.
• Certification in facilities management or certificated pool operations or related fields is a plus.
• Fluent in Spanish is a plus.
• Proficient in reading and writing in English is required.
• Certification in facility management or a related field is a plus.
