Overview

DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a Proposal Manager to join our Business Development team! The Proposal Manager will lead, drive, and produce the required (RFI, PPQ, RFP etc.) response while managing a proposal team that has the skills to prepare and submit a winning proposal. You are responsible for leading a team in drafting, developing content and solution, and ensuring a proposal is in compliance with all Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) regulations and requirements outlined in the RFP. Responsibilities include the introduction, following of proposal management discipline and established DecisionPoint proposal process, and implementation of all necessary proposal procedures and governance. The ideal candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to work well with all levels of the organization, be detail-oriented, and proficient in programs such as Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat. This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to meet challenging deadlines. Duties & Responsibilities

The Proposal Manager duties include, but are not limited to the following:

    Experience with marketing professional services and familiarity with industry terms, contracts, deliverables, and processes is required.
  • A Strong Knowledge of and experience in managing Federal RFP and proposal process are required.
  • Delivery of compliant, professionally produced proposals within customer defined timeframes.
  • Actively manage and serve as central point of contact on assigned proposals including management of schedule, compliance, content, reviews and final submission.
  • Review RFPs and create proposal outlines, development plans, schedules, as well as ensure compliance with RFP requirements.
  • Conduct kick-off meetings and color reviews with external partners and stakeholders.
  • Work with senior staff and subject matter experts to develop compelling proposal content customized for specific client needs.
  • Need to drive differentiation and compelling winning elements as part of overall response.
  • Support the writing of certain proposal sections (e.g., Corporate Experience, Past Performance, Management Plan).
  • Reviews, organizes, and edits written documentation to improve clarity.
  • Provides final quality control check, including proofreading for grammar, request for proposal (RFP) compliance and conformance to established strategies and plans.
  • Manage multiple proposal tasks with sometimes rapid turnaround deadlines, and able to independently manage a challenging workload when faced with unexpected changes in priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to and experience in managing multiple proposals (single contracts, task order responses) simultaneously, prioritizing and mutli-tasking schedules, resources, and expectations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in related field (e.g. business, marketing, engineering, communication, journalism or English) preferred, other degrees are acceptable.
  • Ideal candidates should possess a minimum of 6 years of experience as a member of a proposal team within the Government Contracting industry.
  • Advanced user in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
