Position Summary

The role of the Regional Service Manager (RSM) is to be the liaison between Direct Service Providers (DCP) and Virginia Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) Court Service Units on behalf of AMIkids, Virginia. The RSM will oversee the development, delivery and monitoring of performance management of a continuum of treatment services in residential and community settings for DJJ-involved youth, their families and their community supports.

This position is remote, on the road. Potential cities include: Roanoke, Blacksburg, Radford, Wytheville, Marion, Abingdon, Martinsville, Danville

Essential Job Duties

  • Responsible to oversee services provided within a continuum of care associated with a wide variety of custodial and community setting and various types of interventions designed to enhance public safety and to meet the needs of the involved youth and families,
  • Monitor the quality of services, reporting outcomes to DJJ and assist DJJ in rectifying potential gaps in services available,
  • Create and implement effective oversight systems for all Direct Service Providers (DSP's) under contract with AMIkids,
  • Ensure that DSP's operate in compliance with local and state laws, regulations contractual guidelines, and organizational policy,
  • Monitor performance outcome measures for DSP's,
  • Evaluate quality of service though ongoing monitoring visits, and monitoring tools,
  • Resolve issues, audit and licensing compliance, identifying trends and implementing change,
  • Assist and support Direct Service Providers (DSP),
  • Receive Service Referrals and make appropriate service referrals,
  • Collaborate with Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) and local Court Service Units in determining service needs and identify service gaps,
  • Develop and implement effective Plans of Corrective Action in response to all audits,
  • Ensure quality control and conformance with defined standards through monthly report analysis, site visits, facilitating maintenance meetings, implementation and tracking of maintenance programs and communication with all appropriate parties,
  • Responsible for developing and implementing an internal review system to ensure facilities comply with relevant federal, state and local regulations regarding health and safety of residents,
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with clients, team members, other agencies, community stakeholders, and the general public,
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education, Training and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree,
  • Minimum five (5) years' experience,
  • Ability to travel to assigned sites and attend scheduled meetings,
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills,
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions,
  • Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc., that are necessary for providing quality care.
