The Position

Lumos' 2024 Internship Program is offering an exciting Outside Plant (OSP) Coordinator opportunity to support our OSP Strategy and Implementation Teams to help build the fiber network of the future.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support of Network Operations functions including submitting requisitions for Purchase Orders, creating, and tracking requisitions, Metasolv updates, invoice/move order tracking, verifying and processing, updating records, track easements, permits & make ready and creation of reports to track departmental productivity and budgetary items.
  • Coordination of all in process & upcoming projects in construction supervisor's perspective area including the printing of job packages and submittals to construction contractors.
  • Review pre-billing against red lines to ensure billing is correct and all needed information has been provided.
  • On a daily basis the operations Coordinator manages invoices from multiple contractors, service providers, other utilities and municipalities receives, verifies, codes and tracks. Manage Dynamics & Salesforce request for field estimates.
  • Work task and order flow management and reporting.
  • Materials tracking in EBS and Metasolv, work-orders, move orders, trouble tickets and repair & maintenance functions, 811 Updates.
  • Coordination support for scheduling Metasolv task functions both internal and external.
  • Performs initial CAPEX/OPEX reviews by providing supporting report detail.
  • Performs various activities involving Metasolv, EBS, badge renewals, timesheets, Req/PO invoices, etc. Process & track NJUNS Tickets, Visa Accounts, Damage Reports, Cap Labor, Time Sheets, communications to DOT's and Municipalities on job completions & general administrative duties.

Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Open to students who have completed their freshman year and are actively pursuing a degree at an accredited institution.
    • Duration of the program will be for 10 weeks following the end of the spring semester.
  • Core Hours: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm with flexibility available.
  • Valid Driver's License: infrequent travel to worksite or corporate offices may be necessary.
  • Key Competencies:
    • Adherence to regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
    • Professional demeanor and behavior suitable to a workplace environment.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly build familiarity with other platforms.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to keep track of multiple projects at once.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
