Job Description
Position Summary

Hopkins | Lacy is searching for a dynamic BIM Coordinator to join our Engineer Department. The BIM Coordinator will be responsible for managing BIM and Engineering related projects. The position entails the use of REVIT and/or AutoCAD in the production of shop drawings for commercial and institutional projects, both new construction and renovations.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Software
    • Aid in the implementation of supporting software for BIM
    • Aid in the evaluation of new BIM related software and technologies
    • Stay informed on best practices for use of REVIT and BIM
  • Standards
    • Aid in the development, implementation, and enforcement of BIM standards
    • Provide support for plotting and electronic file submissions
    • Provide quality control for completeness and adherence to company standards of all shop drawings produced
    • Assist in developing and enforcing BIM documentation and workflow process standards
Duties/Responsibilities Cont.
    • Provide software support related to BIM production
    • Troubleshoot problems
  • Training
    • Maintain high level of competency of software through continued use and training
    • Attend conferences, seminars, and workshops for BIM; bringing back, learning, and disseminating the information to appropriate teams.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years production experience in design, drafting, or engineering
  • Experience with Autodesk products: REVIT, Navisworks, AutoCAD
  • Must have an in-depth working knowledge of current BIM versions with emphasis on project sheet setup
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging work goals.
  • Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed as well as determine and manage priorities with minimal guidance
  • Must possess and maintain exceptional work ethic as well as uphold company values and demand the highest standard of conduct from self and others
  • Must have basic PC experience in Windows environments, working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, Web-enabled applications, and database software

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position which will typically involve 40 hours a week. Remote work is available.
