POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Senior Director, Corporate Partnerships, but with a dotted line to the Territory Executive, the Associate Director, Corporate Partnerships is responsible for the management and growth of existing corporate relationships, prospecting, and aggressive solicitation of new partnerships in assigned territory.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Generates $1+ million annually in corporate revenue and sponsorship.
  • In conjunction with territory leadership and staff, collaborate with other members of the home office Development team in reaching or exceeding budgeted revenue goals. Manage cultivation and solicitation of a personal portfolio of corporate prospects/partners with a defined revenue goal.
  • In conjunction with territory leadership and staff, responsible for execution of Association-wide corporate relations strategy to include but not limited to cause and brand marketing, pin - up campaigns, employee engagement, national corporate sponsorship, product donations, and corporate foundation grant making.
  • In conjunction with territory leadership and staff, serves as the primary relationship manager for assigned portfolio of corporations, corporate foundations, CEOs, C-Suite executives, and other high impact individuals with responsibility for prospect research, recruitment, cultivation, and retention.
  • Collaborates with Territory leadership and staff to build trust and leverage Association assets to initiate innovative ideas and maximize new business opportunities.
  • In conjunction with territory leadership and staff, create comprehensive and dynamic proposals that provide funding to support the full mission and priorities of The ALS Association.
  • Effectively articulate the multi-faceted mission of the ALS Association and develop partnerships through a donor-centric approach.
  • Builds strong partnerships with territory staff to ensure consistent communication, collaboration, and integration with the team.
  • Leverage Association wide staff and volunteer leadership connections in pursuit of new corporate revenues.
  • Leads account teams to ensure effective management and support of all corporate partnerships.
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments to ensure seamless partnership execution across multiple program channels.
  • Demonstrates behaviors in concert with The Association's mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures. Adheres to strict confidentiality policies in handling donor information. Build and maintain positive working relationships and communications with all Association constituencies.
  • Stays up to date on corporate giving trends, market opportunities and competition through trainings, data and revenue analyses, meetings, and conferences.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree (BA or BS) from four-year college or university.
  • A minimum of three to five years of frontline fundraising experience in a non-profit environment with extensive experience in cold calling, corporate partnership development and a proven track record generating new revenue and successfully managing strategic partnerships.
  • Significant relationship building with individuals from diverse backgrounds and styles, and experience working with contacts at all levels of Fortune 500 companies, including presenting to senior-level decision makers.
  • Ability to quickly develop rapport and strong relationships with C-suite level donors, Territory leadership and internal business partners.
  • Understanding and experience with the stages of partnership development, from qualifying, exploratory conversations, strategic proposal development, negotiations and contracting.
  • Ability to juggle multiple relationship building and partnership development and negotiation with several large, complex companies at one time.
  • Ability to work independently and collegially across departments in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, telephone, and interpersonal skills.
  • A comfort level with technology that includes a desktop or laptop computer, fundraising database, and high volume of email messages with a timely response is important.
  • Ability to travel (30% travel required) on Association business including occasional travel to the Home Office.
  • Computer skills required: Accounting Software; Contract Management Systems; Development Software; Human Resource Systems; Inventory Software; Microsoft Office; Payroll Systems; Project Management Software, Video Conferencing Software.
  • Responsible for account data management in Salesforce.
  • Convey an image that reflects favorably on The ALS Association.
The ALS Association's pay range for this position is$75,000 - $85,000 annually.

The ALS Association has compensation ranges for various work locations throughout the United States, allowing us to compensate employees competitively and consistently in diverse geographic markets. The above-listed listed range shows prospective compensation for this role; the appropriate range will be established by what is eventually determined to be the candidate's primary work location. Various factors, including the complexity and significance of the role, job duties/requirements, relevant experience and abilities, and primary work location, determine individual compensation. Compensation ranges are evaluated and typically adjusted on a regular basis. Offers are made within the compensation range that is in effect at the time of the job offer.

The Association may, at its discretion, offer merit-based increases tied to individual performance. The benefits listed may differ depending on employment status with the Association.
