Job Summary:
Mercury Systemsis seeking a motivated, Program Area Director (PAD) for the Sensor Systems, Secure Line of Business. The Line of Business is tasked with protecting mission-critical systems for our aerospace and defense applications. Our comprehensive physical security solutions, coupled with proven cybersecurity hardware technologies, offer world-class defense for high-value technology systems deployed in mission-critical applications.
This position reports to the Vice President of the Sensor Systems Business Unit. The Program Area Director for the Secure Line of Business will be responsible for leading a dynamic business area that is accountable for developing, integrating, sustaining, and modernizing mission capabilities that leverage the total capabilities of the broader Mercury business. This requires rapidly developing innovative solutions across the lifecycle that exceed our customer's mission requirements.
Job Responsibility:
The Program Area Director will manage a portfolio of programs more than $100m/year delivering performance measured against the mission KPIs and long term financial and business goals. The position is accountable for driving business AOP performance and growth, leading a team comprised of a matrixed workforce. The Program Area Director develops the roadmaps to achieve the business vision, executes our strategic plans and direction, leads change and improvement efforts, and focuses and motivates the program area teams to achieve established goals. The Program Area Director is also responsible for establishing and building strong domestic and international customers, partners, and subcontractor relationships to sustain the business.
The successful candidate will be a senior leader who is known and respected within defense and global markets, as well as the customer base of the program area. This person will be a role model of integrity, leadership excellence, vision, and collaboration and will successfully execute technically complex, highly competitive programs of significant scope. This person will need to manage experimental, development, sustainment, and services programs within the portfolio and stay current with evolving technology trends.
The position is ideally located in the Northeast.
