Our team, supporting Military Sealift Command (MSC) has an immediate need for a US Navy IT Technician 2 with demonstrated experience in responding to and updating trouble calls utilizing Remedy, performing break-fix troubleshooting and analysis of problems and associated repair activities to return equipment, system or network to normal operational status. Primary responsibilities include:
* Perform or assist with new installations and/or life cycle upgrades for shipboard US Navy Program of Record (POR) networks and equipment
* Provide shipboard training to crew members as necessary for LAN and IT Equipment operation
* Interface and coordinate daily and planned activities with customer representatives, shipboard personnel, other contractors providing specialized LAN or network communications support, prepare and provide daily work reports
* Respond to queries for ad hoc data and network configuration and inventory reports
* Must possess an IAT II certification, in coordination of IAWF DoD 8570.01M
* Must possess or be able to obtain an operating system certification that correlates to systems installed onboard MSC vessels
* Progressive IT experience (5 year)
Must possess strong experience with one or more of the following:
* Building, deploying, and support Tier II/III: for the systems: CANES, COMPOSE 4.0.x, CENTRIXS Block 0/1/2, GCCS 4.1.1.2
* Troubleshooting: Active Directory, Exchange Server, TMG, HyperV/VMWare, Workstation Image Deployment, Anti-Virus Updates, Connectivity - Internal & External
* Experience with: IAV patching, CTO/EXORD/OPORD implementation, HBSS, ePO Server, DLP, McAfee End Point Services, Symantec, WSUS/EW, ADNS, Routers & Switches, SAILOR, CMPro, Fleet NOC Interaction
*Must be able to travel as needed to support mission requirements
