Metrics Analyst
Valkyrie Enterprises is looking for an experienced Metrics Analyst to join the team in Virginia Beach, VA.
Purpose:
  • The Metrics Analyst (MA) primary job responsibilities will be to compile data, analyze it, and turn it into products that Program Managers can use to make decisions. Therefore, the MA will use statistical methods to collect, analyze and report data pertaining to the NAMTS program, including the budget, contractual initiatives, and any other programs pertinent to continuous process improvement and operational initiatives.
  • The MA works under the guidance of NAMTS Project Manager to compile, manage and analyze large datasets from multiple structured and unstructured sources to create and develop user defined metrics reports and dashboards that will identify trending data for the NAMTS program.
Job Description:
  • Primary job responsibilities will be to compile data, analyze it, and turn it into a product that Program Managers can use to make decisions.
  • Provide support for NAMTS enrolled participants through CeTARS, MOODLE, and FLTMPS.
  • Use statistical methods to collect, analyze and report data pertaining to the NAMTS program including the budget, contractual initiatives, and any other programs pertinent to continuous process improvement and operational initiatives.
  • Extract and processes data for statistical modeling and graphic analysis, identify relations and trends in data that provide answers to questions posed by supervisors.
  • Evaluate sources of information to determine any limitations in terms of reliability or usability.
  • Consult with internal customers to develop analysis that leads to actionable insights that solve business needs.
  • Prioritize and provides ad hoc data analysis for product/business requests.
  • Design and builds reports, dashboards and present analysis results using a variety of data visualization tools.
  • Participate in process management reviews, collaborating with program teams to define data solutions to support program functionality and maintain data integrity.
  • Assist a team of developers in designing and sustaining system data interfaces, utilizing modern business intelligence tools and open-source software.Create data warehouses capable of auto generating user defined reports, metrics, data visualizations using tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
Qualifications:
  • Must have a bachelor's degree (preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or other quantitative discipline); OR four (4) years of specialized experience in statistics, data analysis with large datasets or an Associate's Degree and at least 8 years of experience specializing in statistics, data analysis and large datasets.
  • Must have skill in a broad range of data tools and technologies (e.g., Oracle, SAP BusinessObjects), visualization / analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik, MicroStrategy), as well as scripting languages (e.g., HTML, Python, R/RStudio).
  • Must have developed communicative skills, ability to present confidently at all levels.
  • Must have advanced analytics and data visualization presentation skills.
  • Must have experience designing and building reports in multiple tools.
  • Must have experience with enterprise data warehouses.
  • Must be knowledgeable of software development experience and understanding of programming language.
  • Must be knowledgeable in building data sets, data models and predictive engines.
  • Must have the ability to present statistical analysis to non-technical users in a format that is relevant to and supports management decisions.
  • Must have experience with CeTARS, MOODLE, and FLTMPS is highly desirable.
Security Requirements:
  • Must possess a Secret DoD clearance and maintain.
Travel Requirements:
  • Occasional travel - up to 10%.
Physical Requirements:
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and / or fingers.
  • Communicating with others to exchange information.
  • Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 lbs.

Pay Range: $73,000 - $83,000 per year
