Sentara Therapy Center - Coliseum is sensitive to each individual's fitness needs, including the physically limited, the elderly, and those in chronic pain. The entire staff of licensed physical therapists and certified athletic trainers is CPR-certified and is kept current with up-to-date treatment techniques available to athletes of all abilities.
As aPhysical Therapist (PT)with Sentara, you evaluate and treat patients with a variety of mobility impairments. You help them every day to regain a piece of their independence and see their success. This position's primary duties include transferring, ambulating, assisting with exercises, gait training, stair climbing, and balance. You will find that teamwork is exceptional, with everyone working together to ensure the best care for our patients.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Level Degree
Active Physical Therapist License
Master's or Doctorate Level Degree preferred.
1-year experience is required for Resource Pool applicants.
For Hampton Roads Outpatient facilities only - Must obtain Direct Access certification within one year of hire for those with a BS or MS degree

Job Summary
Assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs that improve functional mobility, relieve pain, and improve or correct disabling conditions resulting from disease or injury. Provides age appropriate education for clients and caregivers. Supervise and assume responsibility for care provided by identified team members.Master's or Doctorate Level Degree preferred. 1 year experience required for Resource Pool applicants.
