Position Summary:

The phlebotomist performs a variety of functions such as collecting blood and other specimens using aseptic technique.

Training and Continued Education

Opportunities for further education and training are available to our employees.

Minimum Education

  • Must be trained by medical technologist or medical laboratory technicians in proper techniques of blood collection.
  • Must demonstrate competence by completion of the phlebotomy training checklist.
  • Formal phlebotomy training program preferred.
  • BLS required within 30 days of hire.
