JOB TITLE: Senior Business Analyst

LOCATION: Washington, DC

DURATION: 3+ MONTHS

Work Experience:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst/Scrum Master. The project follows the Agile methodology; therefore, the contractor is expected to:
- Coordinate, facilitate and participate in all agile ceremonies.
- Maintain the project backlog and define all features and user stories/acceptance criteria,
- Analyze, clarify, validate, and document,
- Work with the agile project team to conduct capacity and sprint planning,
- Coordinate and facilitate clients/product owner meetings,
- Facilitate and validated the implementation of all new functionality.

Technical Skills:

Minimum eight years of recent experience in eliciting, analyzing, specifying, and validating the business needs of stakeholders

Conducting interviews to gather customer requirements via meetings, questionnaires, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods.

Translating and documenting conceptual customer requirements into functional requirements and user stories in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team

Working with stakeholders and project team to prioritize collected requirements

Creating process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team

Conducting research on products to meet agreed upon requirements and to support purchasing efforts

Participating in quality assurance and user acceptance testing
Experience working in an Agile environment

Excellent listening, interpersonal, written and communication skills

Excellent analytical, and creative problem-solving skills

Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, planning, monitoring, modeling, verification, and methodology development

Ability to understand and document business and business processes

Highly skilled in solution evaluation

Excellent facilitation and collaboration skills

Analytical thinking and problem solving

Detail-oriented and capable of delivering a high level of accuracy

Understanding of databases and other technology

Strong customer service orientation

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred

Minimum of eight years related work experience
