Position Summary:

Responsible for providing routine and emergency cardiopulmonary care modalities to inpatients and outpatients of all ages based on physician orders and established protocols.

Training and Continued Education

Opportunities for further education and training are available to our employees.

Minimum Education

  • Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy required.
  • Licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Respiratory Care Practitioner required.
  • Obtained RRT certification through the NBRC.
  • Through education, experience, and/or training the individual is qualified to work with neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient and demonstrates competency in performance of each essential job function.

Minimum Licenses

  • Current RRT license required.
  • BLS required.
  • ACLS preferred.
  • PALS preferred.
  • ASLS preferred.
