Watch Our Story:

HDR is looking for a Civil Site EIT to join our Building Engineering Services Group in Arlington, VA. This individual will be responsible for the design of facilities related sites in support of a variety of markets including Water/Wastewater, Municipal, Industrial, Power and Federal.

In the role of Site Civil EIT, we'll count on you to:
*Assist the Senior Engineer with site studies, site designs, contract documentation preparation and graphic presentation
*Perform overall site layout, grading, utility layout and drainage
*Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures
*Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables
*Perform administrative duties associated with project management for civil/site projects
*Work independently on small projects or assist more-senior engineers on larger projects
*Perform other duties as needed

Required Qualifications

* BS Degree in Civil Engineering or related Engineering discipline is required

* EIT

* Strong operating knowledge of Civil 3D is required

* An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

* Strong preference given to candidates with previous site civil experience

* Strong knowledge of modeling software such as Hydraflow Storm Sewers, Hydraflow Hydrographs, HydroCAD, Bentley StormCAD, etc.

* Previous experience with an architectural/engineering consulting firm is desired

* Local candidates are preferred
