Position Summary:

Sovah Danville is seeking a fulltime Nuclear Medicine Tech to prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals as well as other medications to patients and performs the diagnostic study per physician orders. Performs a variety of technical diagnostic examinations associated with the operation of imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images of designated portions of the body. Observes all regulations concerning radiation protection of patients and staff.

  • Administers radiopharmaceuticals and medications for patient imaging and therapeutic procedures.
  • Processes data and enhances digital images using advanced computer technology.
  • Provides images, data analysis and patient information for diagnostic interpretation or therapeutic procedures.
  • Evaluates images to determine the technical quality and calibration of instrumentation.
  • Processes the images for radiologist review.

Qualifications
Minimum Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of a Program in Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine Technology required.
Required Skills:
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.


Requires flexibility in scheduling and ability to work all shift patterns including week-ends and holidays to insure appropriateness and continuity of care for the patients of Sovah Health Danville.

Required Certifications/Licenses:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) X American Heart Association (AHA) required.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) required.
