Job Description
The Career Program Coordinator is a wage position in the Undergraduate Academic Affairs Office in the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences. The position will play an important role in supporting departments to implement career bridge experiences and educating students on opportunities that exist through career advising. The primary components of this role include program development and support for implementing career bridge experiences in academic programs, career advising/coaching, and administrative duties related to embedded career related programming.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
* Experience in higher education, corporate recruitment, human resources, or working with
students/professionals on career-related topics
* Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
* Demonstrated proficiency in designing and delivering presentations
* Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, programs, and projects
Preferred Qualifications
* A master's degree in education, counseling, higher education administration, or related field or equivalent experience
* Prior experience advising or developing programs for students
* Ability to use student information systems and other software to support program development
* Ability to collaborate cross-functionally in the office environment and to interface with
employers, students, alumni, faculty, and university administrators
* Project management experience.
* Awareness of trends within higher education, career services, and the workforce.
