SUMMARY:
Andersen Storm Door Division is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Manager at our Luray, VA location. The purpose of this position is to lead, manage, and deliver overall business results while driving process of continuous improvement through the entire supply chain.
The ideal candidate for this position will an experienced strategic thinking individual who possesses confidence, initiative, and has the ability to lead and develop a high-performance team with high levels of employee engagement morale, satisfaction, and performance.
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
  • Oversee daily operation of the wood core storm door facility ensuring total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Drive strong and consistent results in the areas of safety, quality, customer service, cost and associate development for all areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure alignment of activities and resources within the value stream and functional areas. Ensure cross-organization collaboration and associate involvement where appropriate.
  • Establishes realistic goals and programs for attaining results for departments and supervisors in managed business section.
  • Develop and implement plans to provide continuous process improvement in key areas. 
  • Establish an environment conducive to high levels of morale, associate satisfaction, and performance.
  • Be highly visible to associates and create a safe environment for participation.  Promote active/hands-on management to solve problems and promote high involvement approaches to problem solving.
  • Mentor developing managers and supervisors by providing coaching, information, ideas, feedback, and encouragement to associates and managers to promote the growth and development of the value stream teams.
  • Maintain good employee relations in managed business section by seeing that policies and procedures are understood and applied in a fair and uniform manner
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
  • Bachelor’s degree or greater in a related field 
  • 8-10 years leadership experience
  • 3+ years of experience managing teams of manufacturing leaders
  • Proved track record of leading teams and driving strong and consistent business results
  • Demonstrated knowledge of world-class (Lean, Safety, Quality, Manufacturing Processes/IT systems)
  • Bias for action, strong ability to inspire others to create energy
  • Able to develop and maintain a respectful and safe work environment
  • Skilled in facilitation and conflict management
  • Strong coaching and people development skills for all levels 
SALARY INFORMATION:  
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. In addition to your pay, Andersen Corporation currently offers benefits such as comprehensive health benefits, 401k contribution, paid time off, 8 paid standard holidays, plus 2 floating holidays, a robust employee Wellbeing program, as well as profit sharing (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).

In 2023, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
