The Village Academy of Washington, DC Career Opportunities

The Mission of The Village Academy of Washington, DC is to create a nurturing, safe, and academically sound environment that honors and values each student and his/her special assets.

The Village Academy’s mission is to identify and nurture the assets of its students. This Middle and High School program is designed to meet the Learning Disabled (LD) and Emotional Disabled (ED) special needs for students from grades six to twelve (6-12) in the District of Columbia. The school program has four distinct service components:

1. Instruction: Developmentally appropriate instruction
2. Career Academies and Youth Development Interventions
3. Family Support
4. Therapeutic Support

This full-service special education school will provide wrap-around services to students and their families that will better enable them to transition into the community. This is a twelve month program.
