Job Description

The Concessions Supervisor is responsible for the operation and cleanliness of a concession operation within waterpark.

Pay Rate: $14.50 per hour

Major Duties/Specific Tasks

  • Assists with operation of facility by preparing and/or serving food and beverages, maintaining shelf stock of supplies, dispensing of equipment, which may include lifting of heavy objects, and providing instructions on use.
  • Assists with maintenance of facilities by maintaining a clean work area, providing general care of equipment & materials, picking up ground trash, emptying trash cans, cleaning of restrooms, and performing manual labor & related duties as assigned.
  • Assists with the stocking of facility to include loading and unloading of food shipment, rotating inventory, and moving items throughout the park.
  • Attends and participates in staff meetings and in-service training.
  • Reports unsafe conditions, matters of theft, or illegal action to the Manager on Duty or Supervisor.
  • Carries out additional duties as assigned by the Park Manager or Supervisor on Duty.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma and two years of food service experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Working knowledge of and experience in the operation of food service facilities.
  • Working knowledge of current sanitation standards and ability to adhere to these standards.
  • Must have certification or be able to obtain certification in "ServSafe".
  • Working knowledge of NOVA Parks standards and ability to adhere to standards.
  • Demonstrated supervisory skills.
  • Ability to deal effectively with the public.
  • Ability to be flexible in meeting a variety of demands and conditions.
  • Ability to operate a cash register.
  • Working knowledge of computers.
  • Strength and dexterity necessary to perform all required tasks, including lifting, stooping, bending, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
  • Ability to perform a variety of duties including custodial tasks.
  • Availability to work a variable work schedule, which may include early and late hours, and weekends and holidays.
  • Possession of or ability to obtain necessary licenses or certifications.
  • Required to purchase and wear standard uniform.
  • Specialized duties and assignments related to a facility may require special training and/or certifications.
