General Information:

James Madison University’s Facilities Management is seeking a wage (part-time) Vehicle Service Attendant to clean interior and exterior of JMU vehicles, in addition to some general landscaping duties. The shift is weekdays, 6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. This is a great opportunity to join an organization that is continuously growing!

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Clean the interior and exterior of JMU vehicles.
• Retrieve and return vehicles for cleaning purposes.
• Soft wash buildings; pressure wash sidewalks, buildings, bleachers, football stadium, loading docks, and remove graffiti.
• Also responsible for general landscaping duties.
• The employee in this position will be considered designated, meaning the work performed is essential to university operations and the employee will be required to work during periods of authorized closings.

 

Qualifications:

Required
• Applicants must be at least 19 years old with a valid driver’s license and must have possessed a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 24 months total

Additional Considerations:
• Experience with vehicle detailing, pressure washing, window cleaning, and landscaping.

 

Conditions of Employment:  

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check.

This is a part-time wage position working up to an average of 29 hours per week over the course of a calendar year with no benefits.
